The Renewing of The Mind

A lot of things are going through my mind lately. Duno whether to feel happy or sad.
I'm afraid of the end times, what's there to be.
I'm depressed because wherever i look, people are sinning
To the world, well, maybe it seems normal that people use vulgar, smoke, steal, etc.
But every sin committed hurts God
No one is perfect, not me, not you, not him, not her, not us.
But how heartless can some people be?
Killing others, terrorism, etc.
What a world of violence and insecurity we live in.
Then what do we do? we tend to try to take control
We chase after success, wealth, fame, but who can guarantee that these will last forever?
Will you bring your medals with you when you die?
Will you take any earthly money with you?
All you bring is your character, how much you've influenced others.
What do you think of when you die? Your medals? Your certificates?
No, people. Loved ones.
Life, death. And what awaits you.

My mind is in a swirl. But today God spoke to me through my network leader.
God doesn't care what you achieve, but He searches the heart.
Today is father's day.
But who are those who thought about our heavenly Father and how much He loves us?
That no matter what we've done, He forgives us.
He died for us.
He loves us.

1) Worried mindset
-Affected By Past Failures
-Complacent Of Past Successes, refuse to strive on
-Stressed by deadlines set in the past, that are coming in the future

2) Opportunity mindset
-How can God, others and/or me benefit from a situation?
a) Hope (Perseverance)
----Ultimate Hope: our efforts pay off when Jesus comes
----Looking to the future: our efforts will pay off one day, think of that day.
*** When Jesus was on the cross, He thought of our joy and salvation, so He persevered

b) Faith (Power)
----Strength from God
----Dependent on God's power
----Letting God's power flow through and conquer sin
***When Jesus was on the cross, He knew His Father was in control

c) Love (Motivation)
----If you love God, you love others ("Do you love Me?" "Feed My sheep")
----No such thing as "I can't love", only such thing as "I don't love"
----Those who love God will be blessed, makes no sense that when we love a God of love, bad things will overwhelm us, all things will always turn out good.

Perfect Peace

The promise that God gives to every believer who is willing to put his total trust in Him. The word for perfect that Isaiah uses means "complete, with no parts missing." God will give us a peace, not just in some circumstances but in all. We will have peace about our family, about our finances and about our health. When we surrender our lives to Him, the God of peace gives us a peace that "surpasses all understanding" (Phil. 4:7). It is a peace that guards both our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus. It's a deep-down peace.

But this peace comes only to those who truly believe in and focus on the promises of God. The apostle James wrote that the person who allows doubts to cause division in his mind will be "like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind . . . he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways" (James 1:6, 8).

As you read your Bible, be alert to the promises of God. Keep a list of those that are especially precious to you. Think about them. Meditate on them. Focus your attention on them. Pray back these promises to God, not as a reminder to Him, but as a reminder to yourself. If you fill your mind with His promises, God will fill your heart with His peace.
God's peace is for those who trust His purposes.

To crush or not to crush??

I really wonder if liking her is a right thing or not. I know it isn't sin. But somehow i feel that whenever i think of her, i have the urge to be self-conscious and do what is right in the eyes of those around me, rather than the eyes of God. And I'm afraid that if she isn't the one, i might hurt her, just like i've hurt my previous crush. . . . . . who is also a spiritual sister. I really need the fruit of self-control in my life now...... and patience.

Remind me, Father, that i should seek to please You only, not anyone else. What is right in Your eyes is the most important thing.

But then again, is she the right one for me? My human nature hopes it is, yet my spiritual nature wants me to commit all things to God and understand that God has a wonderful plan for me.

Since He knows the future and past and present, why should I worry so much??

Warrior Of God

hi everyone,

Just before my BB Leadership Development Camp 2, i left God, only to run home, into The Heavenly Father's arms once again. God spoke to me through the camp, He was closer to me than i've ever felt before. I was so empowered and recharged by His Words and Love.

"True humility is realizing that the power to influence others, the love to touch others comes not from you, but through you from God, all you have to do is let God's power and love to flow through you"

"Why are you struggling so hard? Why are you fighting against temptation so hard? All you have to do is to let go, and let God's power come into your life. Remember the Cross, because the power to conquer sin comes from Jesus' sacrifice"

That's what I want to become--- a warrior of God, not someone that has power, but someone who allows God's power to flow through him to others, someone who is willing to surrender to God.
